   Dr. Darin Van Tassell has one of the most well balanced Darin Van Tassell - Board Memberresumes that anyone will see within the game of baseball. 
   Van Tassell has been an intricate part of the restructuring of how international baseball operates and continues to be one of the most forward thinking leaders within the international ranks. 
   While being a full time professor of international studies at Georgia Southern University, Dr. Van Tassell also finds time to help serve the International Baseball Federation (IBAF) on multiple levels assisting with the future direction and growth of the game worldwide.
   Recently, Dr. Van Tassell served as the competition director of the 2009 Olympic Basebal Games overseeing the operations in Beijing, China.
   World Baseball Academy Board Members, Steve Sotir and Larry Bryant have been instrumental in getting Van Tassell to be strongly engaged within the future of the World Baseball Academy.
   Dr. Van Tassell has helped the World Baseball Academy to strategically align with the future direction of international baseball development.
