KEN JONES - Director of Player Development
Ken Jones grew up in Auburn, Indiana and was a standout athlete both on and off the field throughout his high school years attending Dekalb High School. At the conclusion of his high school career, Ken had the opportunity to receive an athletic scholarship to attend Western Michigan University.
Ken enjoyed a successful college career receiving multiple All Mid
Conference Catcher awards as well as being an academic All-American.

In 1995, he was selected in the Major League Draft in the 33rd round by the San Diego Padres. At the conclusion of his professional career, Ken moved on to the coaching scene accepting an assistant coaching position at Ball State University.
In 1999, Ken had the opportunity to go back to his alma mater and served as an assistant coach at Western Michigan University for five years. During his college coaching days he was able to coach a large number of professional draft picks and gain some great experience in helping athletes develop their talents and progress within their baseball careers.
In 2005, upon arriving in Fort Wayne, the leadership of the World Baseball Academy had already developed working relationships with both Ken and his father, Bill Jones, who served as the Executive Director for the Indiana High School Baseball Coaches Association.
In 2010, The World Baseball Academy hired Ken as the full-time Director of Player Development to help strengthen the instructional programming that has continued to grow since his arrival.
The World Baseball Academy is proud to have Ken Jones as a key leader in helping make an impact in the lives of athletes here in the Fort Wayne community.
