The World Baseball Academy Receives Community Award at 2009 Eric Wedge Fundraising Banquet

The World Baseball Academy received a community achievement award from The Fort Wayne Sports Corporation on Thursday evening.
This award was given out on behalf of the international outreach and the local impact this organization has already made.
"While we are humbled at this receiving this award, we are only in the beginning stages of what the World Baseball Academy is planning on bringing to this community," says Steve Sotir.
"There is significant momemtum being created at The ASH Centre and with our international ties to position Fort Wayne as a global hub for amateur baseball," explains Sotir.
It appears it is simply a matter of patience to allow the next step to fall into place. That next step being a renovation upgrade to The Academy of Sports & Health (ASH) Centre, which is targeted as the future headquarters of the WBA.
