Can I Go?

Why do we go?

An International Mission Trip experience has the unique ability to accelerate the personal growth process of an individual (Adult or Youth) who participate. Our World Baseball Academy vision is to develop leaders who positively impact our world.  That vision is often fulfilled in two distinct ways when we host an international mission trip experience.  The individuals who participate grow personally through the shared experience process while positively impacting others whom they are serving. More info on "why" click here.

World Baseball Academy welcomes a variety of individuals to join us on an international trip.   Our main requirement is that the participants who choose to join us will go with a servant's heart to make a difference in the life of those less fortunate while being open to having their lives changed in the process.

Individuals:

  • Adults  &  Young Adults (College & High School Students)
  • Youth (Elementary & Middle Schools accompanied by a Parent/Guardian)

Groups:

  • Families
  • Baseball Team
  • Youth Group / Small Group

How much does it cost?

The trip costs can varying depending on the coutry we are serving within as well as the number of days of the trip. The average costs are:

European Trip: $1,500 - $2,000 per person
Latin American / Caribbean: $1,000 - $1,500 per person
Africa / Asia: $1,700 - $2,500 per person

World Baseball Academy budget for these trips are a break-even budget. This means that our organization does not profit from the trip, however, requires each individual to cover their personal cost of the trip for food/housing/transportation and programming supplies.

What do we do?

We serve. A typical international mission trip consists of a life-time of memories and experiences packed into a busy one-week schedule. The individual participants will bond as a team as they participate in hosting baseball camps/clinics for under-served children, leading children's activities, work projects, morning quiet/devotions time, and impactful evening debrief sessions. Most trips will also include a local excursion to help the team celebrate a hard but very rewarding week of work.

Do I have to be a baseball expert?

Not at all. The areas of the world that we serve are often places that the children are lacking resources and simple words of encouragement. Our goal is to use the game of baseball as a relationship building experience that changes the lives of those who join us while serving those less fortunate than ourselves.

There is always a role for everyone on these trips regardless of their baseball knowledge or experience.

I'm interested. Now what do I do?

We would encourage you to reach out and share with us your interest of possibly joining an upcoming international mission trip. It can change your life! Feel free to email Caleb Kimmel @ caleb@worldbaseballacademy.com to learn more about the next steps of getting involved.
