Badges for Baseball

In Fort Wayne this summer, kids and police officers will join forces to play baseball and build positive connections with each other.

It will be part of the Cal Ripken, Sr. Foundation’s Badges for Baseball program, coming to Fort Wayne thanks to a partnership of World Baseball Academy, Boys & Girls Clubs of Fort Wayne, the Cal Ripken, Sr. Foundation and Indiana Sports Corp.

About 100 kids and police officers will play and learn together this June and July on one of the new diamonds at World Baseball Academy’s ASH Centre. The Badges for Baseball program, created in collaboration with the U.S. Department of Justice, pairs at-risk youth with law enforcement mentors, using team sports to teach valuable life lessons.
