Makena Markle was born and raised in Fort Wayne. She started playing softball around the age
of 5, and never looked back. In 2019, her travel softball team won the 14u World Series in
Columbus, OH. In 2021, they finished 2nd in the 16u World Series in Columbus, OH. She
played at Leo High School as a varsity starter all 3 (thank you Covid) years as a catcher. Within
her high school career she earned NE8 All Conference Honorable Mention in 2021 and 2022,
NE8 All Conference First Team 2023, and NE8 Catcher of the Year 2023. Makena continued her
career at the collegiate level, playing at Indiana Tech. Makena hopes to take her love of the
game to the next level by helping the next generation love the game as much as she does!
